A4: Nursery Opening
The then Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Bhichai Ratakul, officially opened Univanich's new commercial nursery for oil palm seedlings. In his remarks at the opening ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister confirmed the Government's policy to expand small farmer oil palm cultivation in Thailand. He also commended Univanich for leading the way in developing a world-class palm breeding programme which can now provide local farmers and overseas customers with high quality planting material.
