Univanich was honoured to be judged a finalist in the 2019 SET Awards for Business Excellence. As Head of Oil Palm Research, Dr Palat Tittinutchanon accepted the 2019 runner-up award for an Outstanding Innovative Company. This was in recognition of the company’s success in producing drought-tolerant oil palm seeds using innovative Tissue Culture and Genomic Techniques. Univanich is now recognised internationally as a leading supplier of high-yielding drought-tolerant oil palm seeds.
