In December 2018, Univanich recovered possession of 9,890 rai (1,582 hectares) of Chean Vanich Estate. The Civil Court granted Temporary Protection while the company’s legal claim for occupation rights is considered by the Administrative Court. Rehabilitation of the neglected plantations began in January 2019. New carbon-fibre harvesting poles have been imported for pruning the very tall palm areas where replanting has been postponed pending this court decision
