On July 5, 2023, Mr. Apirag Vanich, Univanich Chairman of the Board of Directors, signed a Memorandum of Undertsanding (MOU) with Mr. Narongchai Punyapairoje, Executive Vice President, Natural Gas for Vehicles, Gas Business Unit and M.L. Peekthong Thongyai, Senior Executive Vice President Gas Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited, and Mr. Korn Mayurasakun, Managing Director, Provers Engineering Group Company Limited (PVE). The MOU Project is to support the use of compressed bio-methane gas (CBG) derived from the recycling of wastewater from the palm oil milling process, for use in the transportation industry. The production of CBG will be from the Univanich operations in Pabon, Phatthalung Province, and will be used as a substitute for NGV gas in PTT's NGV service stations. In addition to the production of CBG, all parties will further cooperate to apply for carbon credit certification of this project. This is to be one of our environmental initiatives to move towards a stronger and more sustainable low-carbon future for the country.
