Factories & Biogas
Univanich operates 5 crushing factories in Thailand and one crushing factory in the Carmen Municipality of North Cotabato Province in the Philippines. (A joint venture with local investors and oil palm growers.)
Univanich Factories (Thailand)
In Thailand the five factories have a total crushing capacity of 240 tonnes of FFB per hour. The factories produce over 230,000 tonnes of Crude palm oil annually.
Both Topi and Lamthap also have Palm kernel crushing facilities, with a total crushing capacity of 345 tonnes per day. These two factories are able to produce over 40,000 tonnes of PKO annually.
Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) is dispatched from the Univanich factories by road tankers for delivery to our domestic customers throughout Thailand, or to our deep-water port at Laemphong for export.
All by products are either used within our own plantations, as a source of organic fertiliser, or our sold to third party buyers for energy conversion.
Four of our factories also have Biogas reactors that breakdown the waste water through anaerobic bacteria to produce methane that is captured and used to generate electricity from gas engines.
Univanich Carmen Palm Oil Corporation (UCPOC)
In the Philippines the factory has a crushing capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour. The factory produces more than 20,000 tonnes of CPO and more than 4,500 tonnes of Palm kernel.
Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernels are dispatched from the Univanich factories by road tankers for delivery to our domestic customers, or delivered to the Port of containerized shipments overseas.
